Inside Our Homeschool Day!

We are getting vamped up right before the holidays as we are continuing in our review. I must say, these kids can really keep me going! Now, I am not one to post DITL's all too much. After all, we're too busy schooling! But, I just wanted to give some of you a sneak peek into what we are up to.

For the most part, I am consistently drilling concepts that was taught last year. So, we haven't even gotten started on our current grade level work with certain subjects. If you have been following my videos on YouTube (remember: Daily Schedule & Inside Our Homeschool Day!?) Oh, forget it! You can view it here:

but I mentioned how I like to review up until our Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks and when the new year comes in, I introduce mostly new concepts!

Here is J-boogie as he works on his geoboard. This is part of our review for 1st grade using Saxon Math. He really likes to play with them just for fun now that he's mastered most of the concepts he's learned!

Now, as far as the older kiddos, they are always in debate with each other. So, I gave them something to debate about: the topic of evolution. Here they are as they are going in with our study on evolution! Yes, I really went there this year...I told you I was only going to touch on topics that interest them!

Some may think I'm crazy, but in this household we believe in helping our children to make decisions on their own. This is what inspired me to introduce to them curriculum on the debate between evolution and Christianity. It is entitled: Evolution: The Grand Experiment Vol. 1. So far, we love the fact we dug into this. And, I believe I may have some very dedicated soldiers for Christ on my hands. Watch out world!

That's all we have for today...until next time...!
