Day 20

Some of the situations we may find ourselves in can be a bit daunting. Just the fear of it, alone, can cause us to want to hide and escape. We may feel that we are all alone and no one understands or cares about what we are going through, not even God!

But, even in your darkest moments, God sees and He most definitely fathoms your pain and uncertainties. Just because you may experience hard trials and become confused and intimidated by them, this doesn't mean that the Lord doesn't experience your pain with you. He does! And He sees every single bit of it! He loves you!

No matter how much you may throw a fit, God understands. In fact, He understands so much that He was willing to unselfishly send His only Son, just to be able to understand you more clearly. Isn't that powerful? The fact that a God so famously known would even take the time to get to know you better? He had a plan set in place to accomplish this. This is how much He loves you!

Trials are never allowed to have us in a debacle. Trials are tests designed to strengthen and draw us closer toward a deeper relationship with God. And as we experience this, we grow. We expand our whole ideology of who we are and become transformed by our trials. At least, this is what trials permissible by God were intended to do.

A trial doesn't mean a lack of the presence of God at all. But even in your trials, God's love for you exists. And there is nothing that could ever be done to change this. For God's love is altruistic, unconditional, patient, transformative, unending, compassionate, and supportive. Of course, among many other things.

The altruism in His love is the act of sending His only Son to save you. His love is unconditional because no matter what you experience or what you've done now or in the past, He loves you in it. God's love is patient because He strategically waits for you as a husband anticipates his bride. He longs for communion with you even in your erroneous behavior! And let's not forget how transforming His love can be. It is able to change you forever if you allow it. The unending love of God goes on forever, there is no revoking this--it never stops! The compassion His love brings comes through His selflessness and how He was willing to send His Son to experience your iniquities on His back with every strand of lash He endured just--for--you! And all of this was done just to support you, for He is routing for you every day of your life!

So, whatever you are experiencing right now, God sees you and He supports the very existence of your being. He loves you no matter what state you are in. And as Paul said, I truly stand with the idea that "I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39)

Prayer: Lord, thank you for loving me even when I can't see it. Thank you for your unconditional love that loves me in whatever state I'm in. I ask that at times I need it most, allow me to see your love for me and help me to understand this in my darkest of times. I love you, Lord, and I will reverence your Name and Power forever. In Jesus' name. Amen!

Quiet time meditation: Wait for the Lord to minister to you personally on what He may want to say to you. Be sure to pay attention to any areas that may pop up in your spirit (even silly things such as: how quick you may be to get angry with things or a friend or family member who has been bugging you with their problems.) This process could take anywhere from 10-30 minutes or longer. But, try not to rush this because you could be missing out on a great breakthrough. Within this quiet time, the Lord wants to restore you in any broken areas and he wants to replenish your spirit for what has been used up.

Understanding what He means: This is a time to jot down some of those things the Lord has ministered to you while in meditation. Sometimes, the Lord will wait to speak to you throughout your day. Pay attention and jot these things down so that you won’t forget. You may even come up with more scriptures that may come to mind.

May the Lord bless your day abundantly!
