Why Not Homeschool?
Why You Shouldn't Homeschool was not created because I don't believe in homeschooling children. For those who know me, KNOW me better than that! But, I believe homeschooling should go beyond just the textbooks or academics. Schooling our children with the necessary skills in order to help our little people become more successful adults is so important. So this is why I believe in "life schooling" our children.

I believe, just drilling our children to do well academically, stifles them. But having learning experiences through hands-on approaches and gentle guidance along the way is most effective because children are not only being taught the proper ways of life, but they are forced to make choices on their own as to what they would do in certain situations.

Unfortunately, I did not coin the term "life schooling," but when the Lord first began to give my husband and me our vision for homeschooling our boys, this is what it fit so securely under. I blurted out of my mouth "life schooling is what they need" to my husband and he chuckled and agreed, thinking I just made it up. Shucks, I thought I did, too! Of course, until I searched online and realized it was actually a thing!

So whoever came up with the term first is brilliant! But I want to sum up the term as it means to us in as few words as possible for clearer understanding. Life schooling is "Where School Meets Life, Life Meets Destiny". This is our school's motto as a matter of fact! Life schooling is all about each child learning and growing along their OWN path leading to a purpose where God has destined them to be! That is simply it.
